I alle former, men helst kokt.<br \/>\nOg selv foretrekker jeg k\u00e5len kokt, men det g\u00e5r an \u00e5 spise den ogs\u00e5 r\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p>Man kan ha den i stedet for revet gulrot, eller sammen med revet gulrot, tynnstrimlet og r\u00e5. Knasende godt til det meste av husmannskost.<\/p>\n<p>Man kan forvelle den og servere den med litt sm\u00f8r p\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p>Man kan ogs\u00e5 forvelle den og s\u00e5 servere den som k\u00e5lstuing, jeg lager n\u00e5 hvit saus av creme fraiche og fl\u00f8te som f\u00e5r koke inn s\u00e5 det blir tykt, men de som spiser mel fortsatt kan lage vanlig hvit saus. Jeg krydrer med litt salt, pepper, en anelse karry og litt dill. N\u00e5r sausen har passende tykkelse, sil vannet av k\u00e5len og tilsett oppkappet k\u00e5l i den hvite sausen og la det putre i en ti minutter. Passer aldeles utmerket som erstatning av potetgratenger eller kokt potet om du sp\u00f8r meg.<\/p>\n<p>Man kan selvklart lage k\u00e5lruletter, jeg kommer nok tilbake til dere med oppskrift.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e5r det kommer til k\u00e5lens slektninger har vi r\u00f8dk\u00e5len kjent i Norge fra tidlig vikingtid. Hvitk\u00e5len kom til Norge p\u00e5 1600tallet og har v\u00e6rt vanlig i Norske hjem siden da. Sammenlignet med poteten er den dobbelt s\u00e5 gammel i v\u00e5rt kosthold.<br \/>\nR\u00f8dk\u00e5len er en meget n\u00e6r slektning av hvitk\u00e5len, som sagt har vi dyrket denne siden tidlig vikingtid i Norge. Den er mer hardf\u00f8r og t\u00e5ler v\u00e6ret i norden bedre enn Hvitk\u00e5len og t\u00e5ler ogs\u00e5 lengre lagring f\u00f8r den skjemmes. Servering blir ofte lik hvitk\u00e5len, i tillegg til at b\u00e5de hvitk\u00e5l og r\u00f8dk\u00e5l ofte legges i syrlig frisk lake og blir til surk\u00e5l og r\u00f8dk\u00e5l som vi kjenner s\u00e5 godt fra julemiddagen.<\/p>\n<p>Andre k\u00e5ltyper som med fordel kan nevnes er gr\u00f8nnk\u00e5l, rosenk\u00e5l, broccoli og blomk\u00e5l, alle disse er n\u00e6ringsrike, nyttige, lette \u00e5 f\u00e5 tak i og lette \u00e5 tillage.
